Dr. Katya Hill has over 35 years of full-service speech-language clinical experience. She worked in the public schools serving children with severe communication disorders while building the Assistive Technology and AAC Program. Her clinical work has been across the lifespan including adults with complex cognitive-linguistic communication and medical diagnoses. Also, Dr. Hill contributes a background in AAC communication performance and outcome measurement along with alternative access assessment and training. Currently, Dr. Hill's position involves teaching and clinical supervision for AAC at an out-patient rehabilitation clinic and the UPMC ALS Multidisciplinary Clinic, and consultation and trainings for public schools. She maintains an active caseload consisting exclusively of clients who receive AAC services with an emphasis on individuals with autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, and adults with neurogenic and/or degenerative neurologic disorders.

Financial: Employed at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Hill has research funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the National Institutes on Disability, Independent Living and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR).
